A member asked:

What exactly is penile mondors disease and how would i know if i had it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See answer: Mondor's disease (named after Henri Mondor's who first described the condition) in 1939 is not really a disease but rather refers to a superficial thrombophlebitis which leads to thrombosis (clotting) of a superficial vein in the body (breast, chest wall, arm, penis). Mondor's disease is self-limiting and generally benign. Cause of phlebitis may be trauma, surgery, inflammation, or unknown.
