Neither: Some females have some bleeding during the first cycle of DEPO. Some of us will give these women an early second dose of DEPO to stop the bleeding. It is not a medical problem, health concern or too worrisome. That is, unless there is a chance you have an STD or other cervical or vaginal infection.
