See answer: To optimize your chances of conception/pregnancy, the general consensus is to have sex once every 24-48 hrs during your "fertile window" which is the day of ovulation and the preceding 5 days. Having sex more often than once every 24 hrs does have the potential to deplete a man's sperm count especially if they are borderline to begin with....but most men do not need a full 48 hrs to "recharge".
