What age do you have to be to get the depo-provera shot?

Depo provera (medroxyprogesterone): The FDA has advised that it not be used in teens especially under age 16. However, I have used in many teens. Unfortunately too many teens are having unprotected sex and unfortunately many of them are good pill takers.
