A member asked:

How do i ask my doctor if i can be on birth control even though i'm not sexually active? i think it can regulate my menstrual cycle.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Common issue: This is one of the main reasons the pill was developed. Contraception was a side effect that became its dominant reason for use. Ask as you did here, the issue is common and not a big deal. Decide if you are comfortable enough to ask personal questions or consider finding a setting where you can. But first, ask your present doc, s/he is likely more open to the idea than you think.
