A member asked:

Can carb inhibitors affect birth control pills and make them less effective ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not known: Starch (carbohydrate) blockers are dietary supplements, not medications. Since they don't go through the FDA's drug approval process, the FDA has not said whether starch blockers, or any other supplements, are safe, effective, or even contain what the label says is on the bottle. It's all unknown.
