You're Protected: Mild diarrhea doesn't tend to decrease the effectiveness of birth-control pills. The hormones are still absorbed. You're protected. It is possible for severe diarrhea, where your body is flushing everything for days on end, to decrease effectiveness. In this case, using a back-up method such as condoms is prudent.
