For preop disinfect: It's the standard practice to use betadine soap/solution to scrub and paint to disinfect surgical site right before surgery so to minimize possible infection of wound/incision if not allergic to iodine. It does not numb the glans. As to possible altering the sensation of glans, ask doc timely to explore other potential causes, but requiring more detail hx, physicals, etc. For now, just watch...

Just stop it: This is an anti-inflammatory like motrin. You can just stop it. Obviously you take it for some kind of pain do discuss an alternative with your pcp.
