No: Amoxicillin is not one of the medications that can reduce the efficacy of birth control pills. You will not need a back up method unless you miss pills.

It may: Antibiotics can minimally decrease the effectiveness of the bc, so it best to use condoms while on the antibiotics and a few days after stopping them, good luck.
