HPV >99% of time.: Lgsil is low grade squamous intraepithelial lesion (warty changes and/or mild squamous dysplasia). These are changes induced by infection with hpv in the linings of the cervix, vagina, vulva, perineum, and anus/perianus as well as the scrotum and penis. These changes are virtually always caused by infection with hpv. Lgsil is not malignant but can in some patients be a 'premalignant' change.
