See your GYN: Apri is a pill . It is Estradiol + desogestrel as you seem to know. Depo is a single hormone, medroxyprogesterone. Some people like the progesterone-only shot so they have less menst bleeding and do not need to remember a daily pill. Some people have a variety of problems. You probably will be better with the pill---apri.

Apri is not a shot: Apri is a brand of oral birth control pills; it is not a shot. If you take the 21 daily active pills, which contain the hormones estrogen ; progestin, you should typically get your period during the 7 "placebo pill" days. It may take several months for your body to adjust to the pills, and your period may be lighter compared to your period on no hormonal contraception.
