A member asked:

Does clear strechty discharge always happen during sex even if you are on bc? cause isnt that suppose to help sperm swim better?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: The clear stringy cervical mucus is not a result of sex, but a result of a hormonal change during the menstrual cycle and is consistent with ovulation. Lastly, the thin stringy cervical mucus is more conducive to sperm travel, but again, does not happen because of sex, but because of the hormones in your menstrual cycle.
