A 18-year-old female asked about a 20-year-old female:
Didn't start birth control with period like they say, will that make it not effective? done my 1st pack, now 2nd row in 2nd pack. is it effective yet?

You're safe: While you wouldn't have been protected during that first month, now that you are on the second pack, you are fine as long as you haven't missed or skipped doses. Also remember barrier protection if unsure about partner's sexual history to prevent sexually transmitted disease. Enjoy!
