Hematuria evaluation: First need to confirm if the light red urine is from true hematuria. If hematuria is present a urine for cytology and cystoscopy should be performed. Concerning the pelvic pain a pelvic ultrasound would be the first study of choice. On occasion endometriosis if identified may have endometrial lesions in the bladder leading to hematuria. Interstitial cystitis may be present with these symptoms.
