Yes: Chlamydia and gonnorhhea are 2 of the most common agents to cause pelvic inflammatory disease. Any person in contact with a sexual partner who has either of these infections, should be treated as well toprevent the long term problems of pelvic inflammatory disease.

It is one cause!!!: Genital infection with chlamydia causes pid! it is important to treat infections asap, or pid will assuredly develop over time. 28% of unmarried females, and 26% of unmarried males are infected with chlamydia and are unaware! sexually active individuals are a significant risk and should know their partners well. Clearly associated with promiscuity, as is hiv, herpes, hep a and b, and hpv!
