Any ideas why an enlarged prostate affects erections?

Cause not known: It is a known fact men with enlarged prostate also tend to have erectile dysfunction. Both these conditions co exist in many men as they age.But whether erectile dysfunction causes enlarged prostate or enlarged prostate causes erectile function, there is no explanation for that. It may be these two conditions of aging men just co exist and are not related to each other, if they are we do not know.
