No: Herpes gladitorium and small pox only have relation in that both are viruses, but they are of different family of viruses and likely origins.

There is none: There is no common groung.Small Pox is caused by Vaccinia virus and Herpes Gladitorium is caused by Herpes Type 1 virus which commonly causes oral herpes or cold sores and is common in wrestlers. Small Pox has been wiped out and we do not see this disease any more and we do not vaccinate against it any more
