If i take twice dosage of birth control pills after having unprotected sex in fertile days within 48hrs will it work as ecp as i heard it does?

ECP: It depends on the dose of the birth control pill, it can vary up to 5 pills PO now and repeat the 5 pills in 12 hours. Plan b is over the counter and is progestin only. Plan b works best the sooner it is taken to the unprotected sex act but may work up to 5 days. Another option is the copper iud. Most would lean toward Plan B as emergency contraception: otc, easily accessible, few side effects.
