Maybe someday: Some HIV/AIDS and HSV/herpes treatment experts and biologists believe that treatment to truly cure either infection -- i.e. eradicate the virus from the body and restore normal health -- is possible someday, but others disagree. Active research is underway, especially for HIV/AIDS. Even the research is successful, cure for either virus probably is many years in the future.
