A member asked:

What is difference between impotence and erectile dysfunction? is ed just a term from the drug companies?

ED: Ed was a short way of describing erectile dysfunction that could be aired in commercials. They are identical terms. Impotence is a more general term and is sometimes used to describe any sexual dysfunction that may include premature ejaculation, or losing erection before climaxing.

No difference: Ed is a term coined by the pharmaceutical companies to make it more politically correct for tv ads. No difference.
