Can i start taking birth control pills for the first time days before my period is supposed to start?

Yes: You can start the pill at any time, but i would make sure you're not pregnant by a blood test, as a urine test might not pick up an early pregnancy. The only drawback to starting a pill before your period is that you might have to put up with two or three months of abnormal bleeding.
