Depends on Discharge: Not necessarily. Normal vaginal discharge increases in the third trimester but this doesn't signal the onset of labor. A bloody discharge can herald the onset of labor. (Go to Labor and Delivery) If your water bag breaks and you are passing amniotic fluid, labor is imminent. (Go to Labor and Delivery) Best wishes!
