Just Bear it down: The pains u describe may be because the baby at this stage may be burrowing his head deeper into the pelvic canal, which ends up pushing on nerves - which respond with the sharp 'lightning rod' feeling. the pressure from the baby pressing is also expanding the pelvis, more reason for the pain. Some call this Braxton and Hicks contractions. Cont f/u with OB to make sure u dont have anyother reason
