This is not a: Pregnancy symptom. Brown spotting is usually older, deoxygenated blood being cleaned from the vagina. You could be starting your period a day early if you have a 28 day cycle length. However, if you don't get your period when anticipated then would take a pregnancy test to know if you are pregnant.
