are oils in vaporizers safe for babies?

1 doctor answer
Dr. James Ferguson
45 years experience Pediatrics
For what purpose?: Vaporizers are designed to put clean moisture into the air to assist a child with congestion. Fragrances, whether pleasant or not, are irritating to the lungs and airways of infants and most often increase symptomatic cough rather than help.
