Yes: It often takes until you have had gone through 2 full packs of birth control pills before you will see what they will be like for you. After you have finished the second pack you can decide if they are working well for you.

Yes,but....: It sounds like you started taking the pill in the middle of your cycle so the effect on your ovulation is unpredictable. At this point you should take extra precautions not to get pregnant, and continue taking the pill until the end of the pack. You should get your period on the schedule of the pill. If you don't , have a pregnancy test. 'extra precautions' means condoms or abstinence.
