I had transmastoid surgery 12 weeks ago for superior semicircular canal & tegmen dehiscence. i have a huge painful red lump that is spreading down my incision. i also have headache & vertigo.

Post surgery: In this case, i would not delay a visit to the surgeon or at least a phone call. This may be infection spreading or a blood collection under the skin, so don't wait. If your condition is getting worse, please use er service.

You may have an ...: Infection. You should call your surgeon's office asap. If you have headache and fever don't wait for an apt but go to er.
