No: Need to consult your doctor asap since your adrenal might have been significantly suppressed and this can lead to shock if not treated promptly . On the other hand, it may also be exacerbation of the illness for which Prednisone was prescribed.

Talk w/ doctors: Feeling sick is never normal. I'm guessing the steroid was for the ra, but whatever it was for, that doctor needs to take responsibility for managing the results or making a referral to someone who can. Otherwise find an experienced rheumatologist or endocrinologist and get on track. You can feel better than sick. Good luck.

Tapering too quickly: The way to decrease or taper Prednisone is slowly but not too slowly. If you went from 40 to 30 per day that is a 25% drop and should be ok. If you went from 20 to 10 mg per day that is a 50% drop and may be too much of a decrease. The other concern is why you were on prednisone. Your underlying disease may be flaring now that you are on lower doses of prednisone.
