Yes and no: Is it safe, meaning, will u not get pregnant if you're using protection and have sex around your ovulatory time? The answer is that it's great that u used protection, but protection isn't fail safe. Perfect birth control use yields pregnancy rate of 4-6%. Condoms have pregnancy rate of 25-30%. Even sterilization and iud have pregnancies. If don't desire consider using 2 methods :-).
