Padding loss: You may have a thinning of or atrophy of the fat pad. It is a layer of fatty/adipose tissue on the bottom of the foot that protects the heel bone, the metatarsal heads (ball of the feet) and the muscles on bottom of the feet. Fat pad absorbs pressure and shock so that tingling can be from that fqt pad atrophy which is leading to nerve and soft tissue compression.
