Am taking 100mg topirmate tablets can they cause palapations of the heart?

Not typically: As with many meds, topiramate has a very long list of potential side effects, both common & rare, including anxiety, nervousness & dizziness. However, palpitations are not a listed side effect, and the medication is not thought to precipitate cardiac arrhythmias. That being said, topiramate also interacts with many other meds, so it may change levels of other meds that can cause such symptoms.
