Home Daycare: You can contact your state licensing agency or your local better business bureau, provided your center is licensed. They can tell you if there are any complaints against the daycare. Also, talk to parents who have children in the daycare to see if they have any concerns.

? Licensed ?: If a daycare is licensed, this is done by the state you live in, and their business licensing division would the information about any complaints or violations. However, if this is just a mom taking a few kids in her home and is not licensed, there is not one good place to check. Ask for references from previous clients and then actually call those people and ask if they had or heard of concerns.
