Bartholin Cyst: It may be Bartholin's cyst.Bartholin gland is normally not palpable but when there is blockage of the Bartholin's duct, it swells up and forms as a cyst.If it gets infected it can form ointo an abscess and is painful.But barthlin cysts do sometime get better by itself and other time it has to be drained.I will suggest you check get it checked by your gynecologist.

The "lips" have cell that can color and darken (melanocytes). The inside of the vagina lacks these cells (among other things) and remains normally pink. The color is determine by genetics and exposure to sunlight.

Discoloration: It is quite common for the labia and the area right around the opening of the vagina to be more darkly colored than the surrounding skin. Depending on your ethnicity, the color can range from light pink to dark brown or purple. The color can also change as you age. Therefore, unless you have other symptoms this is probably just your normal variant.
