Blood tests help: Blood tests are extremely important, but most diagnoses are made using multiple pieces of information. There is a battery of tests that helps physicians decide if a person is gluten sensitive. Tests for antibodies to tissue transglutaminase, deamidated gliadin, IgA and hla type are among the battery of tests that may be needed.

Most of the time: There r specific blood tests ur doctor can order and help to diagnose celiac disaese. But some patients with celiac dis don't show positivity to these blood tests. If u have the symptoms, but negative blood test, ur doctor may decide to send you to a GI specialist for biopsy.
