Maybe unrelated.: Mucous secretions from the respiratory tract are swallowed daily without being even noticed. Your pain might be unrelated. You might need to see your pcp, if you have a respiratory infection causing increased mucous secretions, or if your abdominal pain persists as it could be a sign of pathology involving stomach, gallbladder, esophagus, pancreas, etc.
