Are carpets bad for allergies?

Depends: It depends on what your allergies are. If you have indoor allergies then shag carpet might hold it in but generally carpets are ok unless allergic to chemicals in the production of carpet.

Carpets: If you are allergic to dust mites and pet dander, having carpets in the bedroom will retain the allergens and increase your exposure thereby worsening your allergies.
