Pink eye: Many conditions can cause pink eye including virus bacteria allergy foreign body and chemical. If the same eye is affected we need to check for a corneal scar or problem such as herpes which could be serious. See your doctor. Do not delay treatment for pink eye. It might be contagious.

Milder virus: Could be a milder viral infection, or contact with an irritant, air born or from you hands, make up, dry eye from computer use, etc.
