I'm having pain in my jaw and can't open mouth wide. like if i need to yawn or even eat. who should i see dentist or specialist?

DENTIST 1st: I would see your general dentist 1st for a thorough evaluation, after a detailed history is taken maybe a cause can be found and if a specialist is necessary to treat your problem the general dentist can handle the referral for you. Most specialists prefer a referral from a general dentist.
