Collapse/LOC: When a child or adult collapses for any reason and becomes unconscious, CPR is performed. This includes use of an automatic external defibrillator (AED) in case there is a cardiac arrhythmia.

Defibrillators: Unfortunately students are not immune from cardiac arrest. Student athletes occassionally have cardiac arrest and having an AED available can be life saving.
