That depends.: If you are starting from scratch, begin Loestrin 24 Fe on day 1 of period or on 1st sunday after day 1. Use white tab x 24 days & then brown tab x 4 days. If you start on a sunday – use back up protection until you have taken the white pill x 7 straight days. Over a one year period if the loestrin24 fe is taken correctly (no missed pills) the pregnancy rate is about 1%.
