It does not: Claritin will not cause an increase in blood pressure. Claritin-D, on the other hand, is known to cause increases in blood pressure due to a ingredient in the medication called pseudoephedrine (the ā€œDā€ in the name stands for decongestant, which is what the pseudoephedrine is).
