A member asked:

Could birth control cause my period to be twice in a month?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Break through: Yes. Low-dose birth control pills will sometimes not give you enough estrogen to cause your body to hold off on bleeding, resulting in mid-cycle bleeding. Often times, a mild increase in the strength of the pills is all that's needed to fix this.
