Depends: The source of pain needs to be determined before treating the symptoms. If the shoulder pain is caused by muscle spasm then a muscle relaxer would likely be beneficial.

Possibly: Shoulder pain can be caused by arthritis, ligament injury, tendon tears, muscle strain ... If your pain is caused by muscular issue, muscle relaxers might help to reduce the pain. If it's due to ligamentous damage, muscle relaxers might not help.
