Thanks for asking!: Gential herpes typically hurts like crazy and is usually preceeded with a terrible tingling sensation. Zits do not really hurt or tingle. Both are annoying and you should go see your dermatologist or primary care physician for a diagnosis. Genital herpes respond very well to a oral pill, Acyclovir or similar and the lesions go away.
