Lichenification: That is the most common white "plaque like" patch. It is a benign phenomenon usually will resolve with topical steroids. However YOU SHOULD BE EXAMINED BY A PHYSICIAN. There are other less benign conditions that look like that

Yes: If the abscess was incised and then packed open to heal, the pink patch could be the scar tissue that healed the area which was drained.
