Yes: Too many carbs (including sugar, sweets and starches) force our pancreas to pump out insulin, which then drops our blood sugar and makes us crave carbs again. Vegetables and fruit are preferred with smaller starch portions. Sugar and sugary drinks just stress our metabolism which was not designed to handle it.
