Yes: Fibroids typically cause bleeding and pain. Sometimes they don't need to be treated, especially if someone is nearing menopause. However, treatments can include the Mirena (levonorgestrel) iud, fibroid embolization, hysterectomy (removing the uterus). Good luck!
