How soon can i travel in a car after bypass surgery? how long after bypass surgery can i travel in a car?

Car: Travel in a car is possible going home from the hospital post cabg. We don't recommend sitting behind a steering wheel for over 6 weeks post sternal splitting surgery. Long car trip should await healing and reconditioning post op.

Travel after CABG : Any time. Make sure to take frequent breaks and walk in between to prevent clotting in the leg veins.
