I have a 1 year old has rash from wet sand.. how do i remove this once and for all?

Rash: Soak the baby in the tub with wam water, dry well and apply desitin (zinc oxide diaper cream) or another perfume free emollient. Leave the baby's bottom open to the air for as long as possible without a diaper. Repeat daily.
