Post-cyst infection: Our skin is a barrier to environmental bacteria. Anytime that skin is damaged, there's risk for infection. ?: was the cyst infected in the first place? If so, drainage is the key to cure. I would reccomend you do all mom told you to do: wash area w/soap & water several times a day, keep dry, leave open to air if possible & if it gets red, hot, swollen or you have fever/chills see a doctor.
